WHERE: University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Cox Pavilion

WHAT: High-level industry leaders, scientists, policy experts, and public officials, along with citizens and the media, will gather in Nevada for a day-long summit hosted by the Center for American Progress Action Fund, U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV), and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. This year’s summit will bring together the nation’s top minds including former Vice President Al Gore, energy executive T. Boone Pickens, White House Council on Environmental Quality Special Advisor Van Jones, Nevada State AFL-CIO executive Danny Thompson, and many others to chart a course for our nation's clean energy future.

WHAT: 2009 UNLV Renewable Energy Symposium

The event focuses on renewable energy production in Nevada, the US Southwest, and renewable research projects nationwide.  This is a great opportunity for anyone in the renewable energy industry to collaborate with others in the field and exchange information. Over 230 individuals attended the event last year.

Our Mission

The Nevada Conservation League Education Fund protects and enhances our land, air, water, wildlife, and quality of life through public education and civic engagement.  We work to empower conservation organizations and individuals through public education, communication and advocacy training and strategy development.

The Nevada Conservation League Education Fund encourages cooperation and collaboration among Nevada’s conservation groups.  We provide them the tools to inform, expand, and mobilize their members as an effective force in Nevada’s political landscape.
