Non-Partisan Civic Engagement
Three voter engagement campaigns were run in 2010 to build public support for clean energy development and energy conservation in Nevada. Our progams are based on best practices from the Analyst Institute and developed using the latest non-partisan conservation voter modeling.
- “Make the Switch” - We mailed over 30,000 Nevadans a pair of educational mail pieces on the benefits of expanding our renewable energy and efficiency programs in Clark and Washoe County. Over 1000 of you took an action by sending a postcard to NV Energy and local government boards expressing your support and thanking them for their commitment to a cleaner, healthier Nevada. - “I Have a Green Job” – This informative four-piece mail and video campaign stressed the fact that “green jobs are available now” and not just a future promise. With our partner, the Clean Energy Project, over 70,000 households read the personal stories of four Nevadans who have transitioned into a green job from either unemployment or underemployment. - "Get out the vote!" - We called over 25,000 Nevadans to inform them about various voting options in the 2010 election cycle with an emphasis on early voting. Our phone canvassers used the latest non-partisan voter modeling and predictive dialing software to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of our outreach.
